BairesDev is seeking a Software Engineer (Distributed Systems) to design and build foundations for large-scale environments. You will balance latency, consistency, and availability while ensuring robust performance across partitioned networks.

The role requires deep knowledge of distributed systems, proficiency in Go, Java, or Rust, and strong CS fundamentals. This is a 100% remote position with competitive USD-based compensation and flexible scheduling.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on distributed systems.
• Expertise in distributed systems theory and practice, including consensus algorithms like Raft, Paxos, or CRDTs.
• Proficiency in Go, Java, or Rust with strong design and latency tradeoffs.
• Solid CS fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, concurrency.

Responsabilidades

• Architect distributed coordination and consensus protocols to manage global state.
• Design highly available architectures with replication and partitioning to avoid single points of failure.
• Optimize system performance for high throughput and low latency through efficient inter-node communication.
• Develop fault-tolerance mechanisms including self-healing and automated recovery.
• Define consistency models and tackle concurrency challenges to preserve data integrity at scale.
• Evaluate performance by simulating distributed failure scenarios.
