BairesDev, a leading technology services company, is seeking a Database Engineer (Ops) to administer and optimize production‑grade databases. You will ensure reliability and peak performance for enterprise‑wide applications in a fully remote setting.

You will manage high availability, implement HA/DR, optimize queries, design maintenance plans, and collaborate with engineering teams to set database standards. Fluency in English is required; 5+ years of relevant experience.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in Database Administration, Operations, or Systems Engineering.
• Proven expertise in operating and tuning production databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, or MySQL.
• Proficiency in T‑SQL or PL/SQL for performance tuning and database optimization.
• Hands‑on experience with backup strategies, replication, and implementing HA/DR solutions.
• Deep understanding of database maintenance and lifecycle management in enterprise environments.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and maintain production databases to ensure high availability and consistent uptime.
• Implement and govern robust data replication and backup strategies to guarantee data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
• Proactively monitor and tune database performance, optimizing complex queries for maximum efficiency.
• Design and execute maintenance plans, including index management and lifecycle tasks, within mission‑critical environments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define database standards and provide technical support for platform health.
