Job summary

Motum is seeking a CX Agent to be the front line of customer support across a portfolio of modern consumer brands. This hands-on, customer-facing role requires excellent written English, strong organization, and the ability to manage multiple queues in a fully remote setup.

Work hours are Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM CST, with a 1-hour lunch. The role is 100% remote, Independent Contractor, and compensation ranges from $8 to $13 per hour.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CX or customer support experience.
• Excellent written English — clear, warm, on-brand and error-free.
• Comfortable with helpdesk tools (Gorgias, Zendesk) and switching context across accounts.
• Strong organizational habits and attention to detail; document as you go.
• Remote, async-friendly work environment.

Responsibilities

• Queue & channel management across email, chat, and helpdesk channels.
• Support social media CX by handling DMs and comments in each brand's voice.
• Resolve customer inquiries using SOPs and playbooks with accuracy and care.
• Troubleshoot issues independently and escalate complex cases to the right person.
• Maintain clean customer records so the next agent has context; contribute to workflow improvements.
