BairesDev is seeking a COBOL Developer to maintain and modernize mission-critical IBM mainframe applications. You will be a key technical resource ensuring stability and evolution of core business logic in large-scale environments.

You will design, code, test, and debug COBOL programs for batch and online CICS, while optimizing DB2/VSAM data access and collaborating with cross-functional teams. English proficiency is essential.

Formación

• 4+ years in software engineering with a mainframe focus.
• Proven COBOL, CICS and DB2 experience.
• Strong JCL and VSAM, with batch/online processing knowledge.
• Ability to modernize legacy COBOL applications.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Design, code, test, and debug COBOL programs for batch and online CICS.
• Maintain data access with DB2 and VSAM and optimize performance.
• Analyze legacy code to identify modernization opportunities.
• Collaborate to integrate mainframe apps with cloud-native architectures.
• Provide production support including root-cause analysis and fixes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies to deliver software updates.
