Job summary

Next Staffing Group is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Financial Specialist to own day-to-day accounting, AP/AR, and general ledger maintenance. You will streamline processes using NetSuite and AI tools to improve accuracy and efficiency.

You'll work closely with leadership to modernize financial workflows, manage cash flow, and support monthly closes, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, ownership, and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping and other accounting and finance functions.
• NetSuite Expertise: Hands-on experience executing daily transactions, journal entries, AP/AR, and reconciliations in NetSuite ERP.
• Full-Cycle AP/AR Experience: Proven track record managing invoice processing, payment runs, and customer collections.
• Strong Accounting Fundamentals: Command of debit/credit mechanics, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Excel Skills: Proficiency with pivot tables, lookups, and basic financial modeling.
• AI Experience: Experience using AI assistants (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) or automation platforms (e.g., Zapier, Make) to streamline administrative workflows.

Responsibilities

• Full-Cycle AP & AR management including invoicing, approvals, payments, and collections.
• General Ledger maintenance and monthly close support.
• Cash application and monitoring including weekly cash flow reporting.
• NetSuite ERP administration and transaction integrity.
• Develop SOPs and internal controls to scale financial processes.
• Collaborate with leadership to implement AI prompts and automation for data entry and reporting.
• Inventory reconciliation and demand planning support (bonus).
