Job summary

Sterlington PLLC is seeking a remote, full-time attorney development professional to lead learning and development initiatives for associates. You will build the feedback cadence, design development programs, and foster a sense of belonging across the firm’s lawyer population.

You will coach and mentor associates, manage stakeholders, analyze utilization data, and align programs with US employment law. The role requires clear English communication, strong judgment, and overlap with Americas time

Qualifications

• Background in legal or attorney development, preferably in a law firm or legal tech.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous situations and prioritize actions.
• Strong L&D program design grounded in adult learning theory.
• Proven coaching and mentoring experience as a people manager.
• Working knowledge of US employment law.
• Data-driven, with ability to analyze utilization and performance data.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication.
• Americas time zone overlap, ideally ET.
• Resilient, direct, and comfortable with ambiguity; AI-forward and tech-savvy.

Responsibilities

• Build a feedback cadence around firm-wide culture of feedback.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with partners and leadership.
• Create programs and touchpoints to foster a sense of belonging for associates.
• Own learning & development programs end-to-end, grounded in adult learning theory.
• Coach and mentor associates as a people manager, address performance concerns.
• Use utilization and performance data to identify gaps and drive action.
• Contribute to talent acquisition efforts with knowledge of US employment law.
• Speak with authority to represent attorney development within the firm.
