Job summary

Greystar seeks a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring that building exteriors, interiors, and common areas meet company standards for safety, cleanliness, and usability. The role includes handling work orders, preventative maintenance, and the make-ready process for vacant units.

Essential duties cover inspecting and repairing facilities, maintaining inventories, and documenting all activities.

Qualifications

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance per policies and code.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing.
• Tracks inventory used, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Documents service requests accurately for documentation and tracking.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities with cleaning and painting tasks as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing parts rather than replacing them and using tools properly.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and performs preventative maintenance.
• Makes-ready vacant apartments for leasing, including pre-move-out inspections and punch lists.
• Manages materials and inventory, tracks usage, and coordinates with maintenance supervisor for re-orders.
• Keeps required paperwork up-to-date for service requests and records.
• Cleans and maintains grounds and amenities, including pressure washing and painting where needed.
• Assists in cost-control by repairing rather than replacing components when feasible.
