Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical tasks ensuring buildings, grounds, and common areas meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. The role involves handling work orders, preventive maintenance, and vendor coordination.

You will also assist in maintaining grounds and amenities, document actions, and support cost-saving practices by repairing parts when possible. Flexibility for varying shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Performs property maintenance following established policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing, including inspections and coordinating vendors.
• Tracks inventory, secures supplies, and notifies supervisors for re-ordering needs.
• Maintains accurate documentation for service requests and work performed.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, including cleaning and painting tasks as needed.
• Supports cost-saving by repairing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance to ensure building systems and common areas meet standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
• Makes-ready improvements for vacant units, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling, and vendor coordination.
• Obtains materials and tools from maintenance, tracks inventory, and notifies supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Documents service requests and maintenance activities promptly and accurately.
• Assists with grounds, pool areas, and amenities; performs basic cleaning and painting as required.
• Contributes to cost control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
