Fifth Third Bank is seeking a Principal in Fintech Innovation Banking to support growth across corporate banking for fintechs, embedded banking, and structured capital solutions. You will build complex financial models, analyze credits, and create client-ready materials to originate venture debt and growth capital.

Responsibilities include coordinating with product partners, building client relationships, and guiding treasury and capital markets opportunities.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in banking, corporate finance, or capital markets.
• Strong credit, corporate finance, and underwriting skills.
• SIE, Series 79, and Series 63 licenses required within Fifth Third guidelines.

The Principal is responsible for supporting growth across three strategic pillars:

• Corporate Banking for Fintech Companies – providing comprehensive banking, treasury, lending, and capital markets solutions to venture-backed and growth-stage fintech companies.
• Embedded Banking & Fintech Infrastructure – delivering banking and funds-flow capabilities that enable fintech clients' products, with a particular emphasis on expanding the adoption and strategic value of the Newline platform.
• Asset-Backed Finance & Structured Capital Solutions – originating and executing warehouse facilities, forward-flow agreements, securitizations, ABS transactions, and other structured financing solutions for fintech lenders and specialty finance companies.

Minimum Requirements

Performance Gearing

5-7 years related experience: New deposits/year $40MM - Fees/year (Capital Markets/Warrants, FX, Payments) $100K - NQRs/year 3.

Required Skills

Advanced analytical and quantitative skills; strong modeling and valuation; effective communication; multi-priority management; familiarity with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or FactSet.

Total Base Pay Range 82,100.00 - 172,500.00 USD Annual
