AgileEngine, LLC. seeks a part-time Data Engineering and Infrastructure Lead in Colombia to audit AWS architecture, CI/CD processes, and ETL decisions while mentoring the team in engineering standards.

You will evaluate AI-assisted development workflows and balance managed tools with custom solutions, supporting a 50% capacity with potential 25% later. This advisory role emphasizes strong communication and technical direction.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on AWS experience (ECS/Fargate, ECR, RDS Postgres, S3, SageMaker, VPC/ALB/CloudFront, IAM).
• Fluency with Infrastructure-as-code, specifically Terraform.
• Proven track record designing or auditing CI/CD pipelines and SDLC governance.
• Strong data engineering depth for ETL/ingestion architecture decisions.
• Experience evaluating AI-assisted development workflows (e.g., Claude Code) for quality and cost governance.
• Comfortable in a part-time advisory role (50% down to 25%) and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Audit AWS architecture across live applications (ECS/ECR, RDS, S3, VPC, CloudFront, SageMaker-based MLOps).
• Review CI/CD processes and SDLC governance (environment separation, release gating).
• Evaluate Claude Code usage for output quality and cost control.
• Provide early opinions on ETL/data-ingestion architectures (managed vs. custom).
• Mentor and accelerate the infrastructure team focusing on AWS, DevOps, CI/CD, data engineering.
