Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a part-time Data Engineering and Infrastructure Lead to audit AWS architecture, CI/CD processes, and ETL decisions. You will weigh managed tooling against custom builds, review SageMaker-based MLOps pipelines, and mentor the team on engineering standards.

Evaluate AI-assisted development workflows and deliver recommendations to leadership. Part-time advisory role with strong communication expected.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on AWS experience including ECS/Fargate, RDS Postgres, S3, SageMaker.
• Fluency in Infrastructure-as-code and Terraform, plus SDLC governance.
• Proven track record auditing CI/CD pipelines and SDLC governance (release gating, environment separation).

Responsibilities

• Audit AWS architecture across live apps (ECS/ECR, RDS, S3, VPC, CloudFront).
• Review CI/CD with governance layers (schema versioning, release gating).
• Evaluate Claude Code usage for engineering-quality output and cost management.
• Provide opinion on ETL/ingestion architecture (managed vs. custom).
• Mentor infra build team on AWS, DevOps, CI/CD, data practices.
• Set recommendations and technical direction for changes to current build.
• Report findings and leadership with risk framing.
