ScotiaGBS Colombia del grupo Scotiabank seeks an MIS Manager to lead a high-performing MIS team and drive data-driven decision making across BI solutions. You will oversee data extraction, transformation, modeling, and visualization while shaping data architecture to ensure scalability and reliability.

The role requires strong experience in MIS/BI with proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Python, along with excellent data storytelling and KPI design capabilities.

Formación

• 5 to 8 years of experience in MIS, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or related roles.
• Experience managing large datasets and integrating multiple data sources.
• Proven experience designing and developing executive reports and dashboards.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and/or Access.
• Experience designing executive dashboards, semantic models, and business-oriented KPIs.
• Strong data storytelling capabilities.
• Proficiency in Python, including Pandas, NumPy, and other data-processing tools.
• Experience optimizing data workflows and automation processes.
• Advanced SQL proficiency.
• Experience working with relational databases and SSMS.
• Experience automating analytical and reporting processes.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and develop a high-performing MIS team.

• Participate in full lifecycle of BI solutions: data extraction, transformation, modeling, and visualization.
• Build and manage large data volumes from multiple sources into robust data architecture.
• Design, develop, and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and analytical models.
• Evolve data architecture for scalability, availability, and efficiency.
• Define and monitor data quality metrics: accuracy, consistency, reliability, availability.
• Perform regular quality control against official data sources.
• Apply data mining and advanced analytics to generate insights.
• Translate business requirements into measurable metrics with stakeholders.
• Develop executive reports and ad hoc analyses for various audiences.

What will you do?

• Coordinate and oversee the MIS team's technical execution, serving as the area's second line of leadership.
• Drive professional development through technical coaching and the adoption of analytical best practices.
• Actively participate in the full lifecycle of BI solutions, including data extraction, transformation, modeling, and visualization.
• Build, analyze, and manage large volumes of data from multiple sources, consolidating them into a robust data architecture.
• Design, develop, and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and analytical models as a single, reliable source of information.
• Design, maintain, and continuously evolve the data architecture, ensuring scalability, availability, and efficiency.
• Define, monitor, and ensure data quality metrics, including accuracy, consistency, integrity, reliability, and availability.
• Perform regular quality control and validation processes against official data sources.
• Apply data mining, statistical, and advanced analytics techniques to generate actionable insights.
• Translate business requirements into clear and measurable metrics through close collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop periodic executive reports and ad hoc analyses for operational, managerial, and executive-level audiences.

What do you need?
