Position Overview

This position offers an opportunity to join a fast-growing data organization within a global logistics provider, dedicated to delivering data products that drive internal decision-making. The role entails collaborating directly with internal stakeholders to construct robust data models, design precise metrics and KPIs, and develop impactful dashboards using Power BI. Leveraging a technical stack anchored in SQL, dbt, and Snowflake, the selected candidate will implement an engineering-driven approach to business intelligence, emphasizing automation, testing, version control, and performance optimization. Acting as an internal consultant, theindividuals will map real-world business processes to data systems, ensuring that information flows smoothly to support organizational goals. This mid-level role requires a self-driven professional who excels in a low-ego, collaborative team environment characterized by high expectations for performance and strict process adherence. The focus remains exclusively on internal analytics and stakeholder management, providing a vital foundation for the company's global operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Construct and extend core data models using dbt and SQL within a Snowflake data warehouse to support business intelligence initiatives.
• Design and develop robust Power BI dashboards and datasets, employing DAX for backend modeling to deliver insights to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal business partners to map operational processes to data systems, defining effective KPIs and metrics that drive decision-making.
• Apply an engineering-driven approach to analytics, utilizing git for version control, automating tests, and optimizing performance.
• Execute complex SQL tasks, including advanced querying and data transformation logic, to validate data accuracy and support deep‑dive investigations.
• Act as an internal consultant to identify solution designs that improve business outcomes, focusing exclusively on internal client needs.
• Maintain strict adherence to process standards and demonstrate high attention to detail while working autonomously in a collaborative, low-ego team Environment.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of professional experience using SQL, with strong proficiency in querying and data manipulation.
• Solid data modeling fundamentals, with specific experience building and extending core data models in Snowflake.
• Proficiency in using dbt for defining, testing, and documenting data transformations.
• 2+ years of experience utilizing Power BI for dashboard visualization and developing backend models using DAX.
• Experience designing KPIs and metrics, with the ability to communicate the impact of metric selection to internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrated application of an engineering-driven approach to analytics, including the use of version control (git), automation, and testing.
• Experience designing user experiences and mapping real-world business processes to data systems.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to process adherence and high performance standards.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, specifically oriented towards managing internal stakeholders.
• Self-driven mindset with a low-ego approach to teamwork and problem solving.

Nice to Have Skills

• A highly quantitative academic or professional background.
• Proficiency in Python or R for advanced data analysis and scripting.
• Familiarity with Python-based orchestrators such as Prefect.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of infrastructure configuration using Terraform.
• Experience with cloud storage solutions like Azure Data Lake.
