Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Senior BI Engineer to build robust ETL/ELT pipelines in Python, model data, and deliver polished Power BI dashboards. You will own the BI lifecycle from data modeling to semantic layer design, partnering across teams to ensure KPI accuracy and reliable reporting.

You'll leverage Delta Lake, PySpark, and SQL Server expertise, implement CI/CD for BI, and elevate data quality across the organization. This is a 100% remote opportunity with global collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in BI or data engineering.
• Expert Python for ETL/ELT with Delta Lake, PySpark, and REST APIs.
• Experience with data modeling (Star/Snowflake) and semantic layer design in Power BI.
• Strong Power BI skills and advanced DAX; SQL Server or equivalent.
• CI/CD for BI using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in BI or data engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python for ETL/ELT, including Delta Lake, PySpark, pandas, and REST API integrations.
• Experience with data modeling, including Star/Snowflake schemas and semantic layer design in Power BI/Fabric.
• Experience with Power BI.
• Strong DAX skills, including complex measures, KPIs, and calculated columns.
• Advanced SQL skills with SQL Server or similar platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD for BI using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Background building data quality and validation frameworks.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
