Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is seeking an experienced LLM Engineer to own and ship the internal automation roadmap. This builder role focuses on production systems atop LLMs, not model training, and requires hands-on delivery of automation between WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and internal CMS.

You will work with engineering and delivery leadership to turn a documented roadmap into shipped, working systems, leveraging LangChain, LangGraph and related frameworks to integrate OpenAI and Anthropic

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.

Responsibilities

• Build agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.
• Integrate with Anthropic and OpenAI APIs including tool use and function calling.
• Develop internal tools to reduce manual hours across design and development production processes.
• Create automation pipelines connecting WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and internal CMS.
• Implement MCP server integrations as part of the broader AI stack.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is building an AI automation layer into every part of how we work. As LLM Engineer at Blacksmith, you own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This is a builder role, not a research role. You will not be training models, you will be building production systems on top of them.

You work directly with engineering and delivery leadership to take a documented roadmap of automation workflows and turn them into shipped, working systems. This role is for someone who has already built things with LLMs and can show it.
