EPAM Systems in Colombia seeks a Lead Python Developer to own backend services and drive cloud-based microservices architecture. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable software.

The role requires strong Python expertise, hands-on experience with FastAPI, Poetry, Asyncio, Angular front-ends, and modern cloud platforms (Azure, GitOps). You will mentor engineers and help establish best practices.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in backend or full-stack development.
• Experience leading and managing development teams for at least 1 year.
• Strong knowledge of SOLID principles and clean architecture.
• Proven track record building cloud-based microservices.
• Proficiency with Python backend (core Python, Poetry, FastAPI, asyncio).
• Experience designing Angular SPAs with RxJS/NgRx.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement backend services with performance, scalability, and reliability goals.
• Contribute to architectural discussions shaping system direction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into solutions.
• Write clean, tested code across services and perform code reviews.
• Ensure deployment health of cloud-based applications and monitor ops.
• Mentor engineers throughout the development lifecycle.
• Plan scope and effort for upcoming initiatives.
