EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Python Developer to join our team. You will work across the full stack, building robust backend services and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable software in cloud environments.

The role requires deep Python expertise, experience with FastAPI, Asyncio, and Kubernetes, and a strong understanding of distributed systems. Excellent communication skills and English proficiency are essential.

Formación

• 3+ years of software development experience.
• Strong Python backend skills and cloud experience.
• Experience with FastAPI and Asyncio.
• Experience designing Angular SPAs and modern front-end stacks.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• Excellent communication and English proficiency.

• Participate in architectural discussions to shape the long-term direction of our systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into effective technical solutions
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across the services you build

• Diagnose and resolve complex issues affecting application performance and stability
• Support the deployment and operational health of applications running in cloud environments
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, tools, and workflows
• Participate in planning sessions to estimate effort and scope for upcoming work
• Mentor and support other engineers throughout the development process

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services that meet performance, scalability, and reliability requirements
• Participate in architectural discussions to help shape the long-term direction of our systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into effective technical solutions
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across the services you build
• Review code from fellow team members to maintain consistent quality and standards
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues affecting application performance and stability
• Support the deployment and operational health of applications running in cloud environments
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, tools, and workflows
• Participate in planning sessions to estimate effort and scope for upcoming work

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of software development principles, including SOLID and clean architecture
• Proven experience developing cloud-based, microservice-oriented backend services
• Strong Python backend experience, including core Python, dependency management with Poetry, the FastAPI framework, and async programming with Asyncio
• Experience designing and developing Angular single-page web applications
• Experience with RxJS, NgRx, and Nx
• Experience with Node.js development
• Cloud experience with Azure
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD
• Excellent communication skills
• Understanding of scalability, performance, and reliability in distributed systems
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications
• Proficiency with Docker
• Knowledge of cloud fundamentals, preferably Azure, with AWS considered a plus
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, with GitOps or ArgoCD considered a plus
• Experience with Go (Golang) considered a plus
• Good communication skills
• Excellent English proficiency (B2 level or higher)

• Familiarity with Linux
• Experience with SQL
