Monks is seeking a Lead Fullstack Engineer to set the technical direction for production web applications. You will lead architecture decisions across frontend and backend, work closely with clients and product, and mentor engineers to raise the team’s capability.

You’ll operate in an agile consulting environment, collaborating with AI coding agents and shaping scope with clients to deliver high-impact outcomes.

Formación

• 8+ years building and shipping full‑stack web applications.
• Deep TypeScript across the stack: React and Next.js on the frontend, Node on the backend.
• Strong system design: API design, data modeling, scalable architecture on AWS.
• Track record of setting patterns and raising quality across a team.
• Comfort owning ambiguity and driving decisions to a conclusion.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, agile consulting environment.

Responsabilidades

• Own end-to-end architecture across the frontend (React / Next.js) and backend (Node / TypeScript).
• Establish the patterns, standards, and guardrails the team builds against.
• Stay hands-on, designing and shipping the core of the product.
• Review and gate work, including AI-generated code, for quality and consistency.
• Break ambiguous problems into clear workstreams the team can execute.
• Partner with clients and product to shape scope and technical trade-offs.
• Mentor engineers and grow the team’s capability.
