EPAM Systems in Colombia is seeking a Lead Data Software Engineer to drive the design and development of scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform. You will mentor engineers and deliver high-quality data products using Python and SQL.

This role requires 5+ years in data engineering, expertise in Python, SQL, GCP, and Databricks, and strong English; you will lead technical initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into robust solutions.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in data software engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Expertise in Google Cloud Platform and Databricks.
• Background in designing and building large-scale data pipelines.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design and implementation of data engineering solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and SQL.
• Architect data workflows and processing frameworks within Databricks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering team members.
• Ensure code quality through reviews, best practices and standards.
• Optimize performance and reliability of data platforms and pipelines.
• Drive technical decision-making and contribute to architectural discussions.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders in English at a professional level.
