AECOM is seeking a hands-on CFD Engineer to join its Data Center team in Colombia. This individual-contributor role is responsible for executing internal airflow, thermal, and equipment-discharge studies with minimal oversight.

The successful candidate will convert complex simulation results into practical design actions, clearly communicate assumptions and limitations, and help establish repeatable, high-quality CFD workflows across multiple concurrent projects.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on CFD experience in data centers or similar facilities.
• Proven ability to deliver CFD studies from scoping to final report.
• Experience with CFD platforms listed above.
• Strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics.

Responsabilidades

• Own full CFD study lifecycle from scope to technical reports.
• Conduct internal data hall studies: rack temps, containment, airflow.
• Perform external studies: towers, chillers, exhaust, heat rejection.
• Run steady-state and transient analyses for outages and loads.
• Develop defensible modeling assumptions from source data.
• Verify with mesh sensitivity, mass/energy balance, convergence.
• Translate results into actionable recommendations for design.
• Prepare client-ready reports and visualizations.
• Present findings to multidisciplinary teams and mentor staff.
• Contribute to templates, procedures, and knowledge sharing.
