AgileEngine, LLC. is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer (Kafka) to own the Kafka estate behind a large event-driven integration platform. You will build, deploy, and monitor the infrastructure, ensuring reliable delivery and observable performance across a global environment.

The role emphasizes production Kafka experience, Linux automation with Python, and strong CI/CD ownership within a connected engineering squad. Flexible remote/office options apply in a hybrid model.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on production Kafka experience required.
• Experience with event-driven delivery semantics and at-least-once/exactly-once processing.
• Strong Linux engineering and Python scripting skills.

Responsabilités

• Own the Kafka estate: topic design, partitioning, replication, and retention policies.
• Ensure platform resilience and reliability during upstream service degradation.
• Implement delivery guarantees: at-least-once and exactly-once semantics, idempotent producers, and dead-letter topics.
• Develop streaming observability: lag, throughput, dashboards, logs, and tracing.
