• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance operations.
• 3+ years of experience in the private funds industry as a fund accountant or implementation specialist.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• Proven ability to manage large, complex data sets with high accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Fluent written and spoken English (B2+).

Working hours: Full-time, aligned w/ Eastern or Central Time business hours (ET, CT)

Job Type: Contractor, monthly payments in US dollars

We are currently building a nearshore implementation team for a U.S. fintech client specializing in the private funds industry. The team will work in close partnership with the company's U.S.-based implementation team. Superior English and communication skills are required.

You enjoy mentoring people earlier in their careers, and you’re motivated by building something (a team, a process) that gets stronger as it scales, not just by finishing your own tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Own Full Implementations: Do the direct work of configuring, testing, and validating client fund structures and calculations, working closely with the U.S.-based team to execute against client implementation plans.
• Act as Escalation Point: Serve as the point of escalation within the nearshore team for financial structures involving multiple entities or non-standard configurations, or other implementation issues.
• Drive Process Improvement: Help evolve and refine implementation processes as the nearshore team scales, partnering closely with the U.S.-based Implementation, Product, and Engineering teams.
• Mentor the Team: Mentor Associates and Senior Associates, with a potential path toward people management as the role and team grow.

Technical Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance operations.
• 3+ years of experience in the private funds industry as a fund accountant, private funds operations professional, or implementation specialist at a fund administrator, fund manager, or fund management software provider.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to manage large, complex data sets with a high degree of accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Fluent written and spoken English (B2+), with strong communication skills for daily coordination with a U.S.-based team.

Preferred Skills

• Demonstrated experience leading software, systems, or process implementations from spec through to live, production use, ideally with SaaS or cloud-based platforms.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools to build or support automations across workflows, data processing, or testing.
• Experience mentoring or informally guiding junior team members.

Nice to Have

• Strong command of private fund structures and calculations, including complex or non-standard structures.
• CPA or equivalent experience.
• Prior exposure to people management or team leadership.
