Job summary

The role requires 1–3+ years of hands-on experience with IBM AS/400, IBM i, or iSeries, and basic troubleshooting, BRMS backup, and security administration. Candidates should be comfortable assisting with tape library operations and escalating complex issues to L2/L3 teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on IBM AS/400/IBM i experience.
• Familiar with BRMS backup and job scheduling.
• Knowledge of basic TCP/IP and security tasks.
• Ability to provide production support.

Responsibilities

• Monitor IBM i systems and perform routine administration.
• Monitor backups and troubleshoot BRMS failures.
• Track batch jobs and scheduling.
• Assist with user access and security administration.
• Support maintenance tasks and PTFs.
• Escalate complex infrastructure issues to L2/L3 teams.
