Job Summary:

Seeking an IBM AS/400 (IBM i / iSeries) Administrator to support daily system operations, monitoring, backup, job scheduling, and basic troubleshooting in an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor IBM i systems and perform routine system administration.
• Monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot failures, and support BRMS operations.
• Monitor batch jobs and job scheduling.
• Assist with user access, security administration, and basic TCP/IP troubleshooting.
• Support system maintenance, PTFs, and routine operational tasks.
• Assist with tape library operations and backup media management.
• Escalate complex infrastructure issues to L2/L3 teams.

Must-Have Skills:

• Hands-on experience with IBM AS/400, IBM i, or iSeries.
• Basic knowledge of IBM i commands, job monitoring, and system operations.
• Exposure to backup and recovery, BRMS, and job scheduling.
• Basic troubleshooting and production support skills.
