WSP is seeking a Protection & Control Engineer – Hydro & Dams to join our multidisciplinary team in Colombia. The role involves analysis, design, development, and implementation of protection and control systems for hydroelectric, dam, and water resources projects throughout all phases of execution.
Responsibilities include coordinating with teammates, preparing technical documentation, and supporting commissioning activities.
Formación
- Bachelor's in electrical engineering or related field.
- Master's degree is an asset.
- Professional Engineer designation preferred or eligible.
Responsabilidades
- Design protection and control systems for hydro facilities and dams.
- Develop protection philosophies, relay settings, and control strategies.
- Prepare engineering studies, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform protection coordination and arc flash analyses.
- Review designs for codes and standards compliance.
- Support SCADA, automation, and monitoring integration.
- Participate in FAT/SAT, commissioning, and system energization.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and vendors.
- Prepare technical reports and client presentations.
