WSP is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer – Hydro & Dams to join our multidisciplinary team in Bogotá. You will lead structural analysis, design, assessment, and rehabilitation of hydroelectric, dam, and water resources projects, providing technical leadership across feasibility, detailed design, construction support, and dam safety evaluations.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with structural specialization.
• Master's degree preferred in related field.
• Ph.D. in Structural Engineering or related discipline is an asset.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng. or equivalent) designation is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead structural design, analysis, and assessment of dams, spillways, intake structures, powerhouses, penstocks, galleries, retaining structures, and related infrastructure.
• Develop design criteria, engineering calculations, technical specifications, and construction documentation.
• Review and approve structural designs, drawings, reports, and technical deliverables prepared by project teams.
• Conduct structural evaluations considering static, dynamic, seismic, hydraulic, thermal, and environmental loading conditions.
• Support dam safety assessments, risk evaluations, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including geotechnical, hydrotechnical, civil, electrical, mechanical, and environmental specialists.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers.
• Participate in site inspections, field assessments, construction reviews, and resolution of structural issues during project execution.
