Job summary

Clara is seeking a Fraud Strategist Expert to shape and scale our global fraud detection strategy across markets. You will lead the AI and automation roadmap, govern models, and collaborate with Data Science and Engineering to deploy scalable, compliant solutions.

You will own detection infrastructure, monitor performance, and drive 24/7 coverage while optimizing automation and human oversight. English is working language; opportunity for impact across LATAM and beyond.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Fraud Strategy, Prevention, Risk Analytics, or related roles in fintech or financial services.
• Deep knowledge of fraud detection methodologies, rules, and monitoring.
• Experience designing or optimizing fraud detection strategies and automated decisions.
• Strong ability to collaborate with tech teams on ML/automation in fraud.

Responsibilities

• Define and own global fraud detection strategies and standards across regions.
• Develop and evolve fraud detection infrastructure including rule engines and ML models.
• Lead AI and automation roadmap for fraud detection and operational workflows.
• Explore AI-powered detection capabilities like anomaly detection and behavioral analysis.
• Anticipate emerging threats and develop mitigation strategies across markets.
• Establish model governance, explainability, and risk oversight.
• Share fraud intelligence across regions and ensure consistent deployment.
• Monitor regional performance and identify gaps using data platforms like Databricks and Metabase.
• Collaborate with Fraud Ops, Risk, Product, Engineering, and Data Science.
• Define 24/7 monitoring strategies to balance coverage with controls.
• Set KPIs and performance frameworks for detection effectiveness and platform reliability.
