CPL Aromas Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Technician to carry out the weighing and manufacturing of fragrance and base samples, ensuring timely delivery while upholding quality and safety standards.

You will process requests from multiple departments, monitor calibration and raw material inventory, and maintain lab discipline. Role requires at least a high school diploma or technical chemistry background, and 6 months in a lab or production setting.

Formación

• Minimum: High School Diploma.
• Preferred: Technical degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• Training: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 months of experience in laboratories or production environments.
• Skills: Attention to Detail, Teamwork and Collaboration, Ability to Follow Instructions, Responsibility and Accountability.

Responsabilidades

• Receive sample manufacturing requests from Evaluation, Applications, Quality Control, Perfumers, Regulatory Affairs, and Production, and process them according to established specifications.
• Perform the weighing process in accordance with the company’s procedures using the system.
• Verify on a weekly basis that calibration requirements for assigned equipment are up to date and complied with.
• Monitor raw material inventory, ensuring that all materials to be used have a valid Quality Control approval status to guarantee the suitability of fragrances, bases, and solutions.
• Timely communicate the need to purchase raw materials from both the Colombia palette and the global palette, submitting the corresponding request to Production or Procurement as appropriate, to ensure material availability.
• Maintain laboratory raw materials within their validity period by coordinating any required re-testing activities.
• Conduct a monthly review and disposal of expired raw materials in accordance with CPL quality requirements.
• Provide a weekly report on laboratory activities and work progress to the Area Coordinator.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory and work area.
• Comply with laboratory procedures and standards.
• Adhere to the guidelines outlined in the Roles and Responsibilities Matrix.
• Perform any additional related or complementary duties assigned according to the nature of the position and in compliance with the employment contract.
