Bpi Genethics is hiring a Senior Lab & Quality Assurance Technician to oversee all lab operations and ensure adherence to quality standards for product conformance and food safety. The role supports documentation involving HACCP, GMP, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include approving QA records, managing certificates of analysis, coordinating testing, and driving corrective actions for non-conformances to maintain daily quality integrity.

Formación

• BSc in Chemistry, Food Science or related subject.
• At least three years in a similar manufacturing role.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and food safety practices.

Bpi Genethics is seeking to recruit a suitable candidate for the following position:

Senior Lab & Quality Assurance Technician

The incumbent is required to oversee all lab operations and ensures compliance with quality standards to ensure product conforms to specification, food safety practices are followed and assist in documentation involving HACCP, Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices.

Some Main Responsibilities include:

• Verify information and approve quality assurance records for incoming raw materials and packaging; documents/reports of all laboratory tests conducted (both analytical and microbial); certificates of analysis; and daily water checks
• Ensure that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) are adhered to in the production department according, to Company’s polices and International standards.
• Coordinate the preparation of control data for MO creation
• Coordinate release and clear all finished goods for sale
• Ensure the availability of required materials for use in lab
• Plan and coordinate the investigation, analysis, research and development of new ingredients, processing technologies or products and prepare relevant technical reports, studies, updates and recommendations in line with strategic objectives.
• Assist in upholding regulatory standards for all products and assist in preparation of relevant documentation and product testing required for regulatory approvals from Chemistry, Food and Drug Divisions or other regulatory agencies
• Coordinate and assist in generation of Certificate of Analysis for batches produced
• Responsible for the integrity of daily quality standard.
• Coordinate quality checks both internally (Maintenance, Warehouse and Production) and externally (local suppliers) to ensure quality and company standards are met.
• Communicate non-conformances to relevant personnel for implementation of corrective actions
• Prevent the delivery or further processing of non-conforming /deviated products, until the deficiency or problem is eliminated.
• Coordinates routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, finished goods, or stability samples.
• Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on compliance of readings for release.
• Oversee calibration, validation, or maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Participate in out-of-specification and failure investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Supply quality control data necessary for regulatory submissions.
• Oversee the receipt and inspection raw materials.
• Investigate or report questionable test results.
• Ensure that there is always quality supervision of the compounding process
• Coordinate inline quality checks
• Monitor and oversee the operation, performance and compliance of the water purification system, including RO, DI and filtration systems.
• Analyze water quality trends and test results to ensure compliance with microbiological, chemical and operational specifications. Escalate abnormal findings
• Coordinate routine monitoring, sanitization, validation and maintenance activities for the water treatment system.
• Investigate water quality deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions to maintain system integrity.
• Review and maintain water system logs, test records, checklists, calibration data and validation documentation.
• Conduct root cause analysis for non-conformances, customer complaints and out-of-specification results
• Utilize ERP systems to monitor inventory movements, batch traceability, material usage and quality transactions

Qualification, Experience and Requirement:

• BSc. Degree in Chemistry, Food Science or related subject
• At least three (3) years in a similar capacity in a Manufacturing environment
• Or relevant combination of training and experience
