Conservation International in Bogotá seeks an experienced financial operations professional to support accounting management and financial reporting for CI Colombia. You will ensure accurate data for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and manage funds in compliance with donor agreements.

The role requires up to 2 years in accounting, tax compliance, budgeting, and proficiency with Excel and BI tools. Interaction across departments and with donors is expected.

Formación

• Up to 2 years of general experience.
• Up to 2 years in accounting and financial management.
• At least 1 year of experience using accounting software and handling tax compliance.
• Financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Analysis of financial statements.
• Colombian accounting and tax regulations, including withholding taxes, ReteICA, and parafiscal contributions.
• Recording and validating expenses in accounting and management platforms.
• Management of accounts payable and accounts receivable in organizational settings.
• Preparation of bank reconciliations.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel, BI tools (Power BI), and accounting software.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, compile, and submit monthly, quarterly, and/or annual financial reports.
• Review the organization's accounting records.
• Verify project funds and ensure their proper use in accordance with agreements.
• Support internal and external audits (if required by donors).
• Monitor budgets by project and expense category.
• Submit documentation required by donors.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS for SMEs and local regulations.
• Record accounting transactions and issue invoices with applicable taxes.
• Perform bank reconciliations and assist with settlements.
