Trading Solutions in Barranquilla is seeking an Export Operations Executive to lead end-to-end export processes across maritime, air, and ground shipments. You will ensure accurate documentation, proactive client communication, and real-time cargo visibility for 300+ clients.

The role requires 2–4 years in freight forwarding, experience with booking, BLs, AMS/ISF, and proficiency in CargoWise or Magaya, plus strong Excel and English (B2+). On-site Barranquilla, negotiable terms.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Logistics, or related field.
• 2–4 years of progressive experience in freight forwarding operations and logistics coordination.
• Hands-on experience with booking management, BL issuance, cargo tracking systems, and customs documentation (AMS/ISF knowledge).
• Proficiency with freight management platforms (CargoWise, Magaya) and advanced Excel.
• English proficiency at B2+ level for international communications.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate bookings with carriers and depots, sending documentation to clients.
• Provide timely shipment updates and escalate issues for resolution.
• Maintain organized records and contribute to process improvements.

We're looking for an Export Operations Executive to join our team!!

The Export Operations Executive will be the operational backbone of our logistics execution, managing end-to-end import and export processes from booking to cargo release across maritime, air, and ground shipments. This role ensures flawless documentation, proactive client communication, and real-time cargo visibility for 300+ active clients moving 52,000+ TEUs annually. You'll own daily operational excellence while building systems that scale with our international expansion.

What You'll Do

• Execute and monitor daily export logistics operations, including bookings, cargo releases, documentation management, and customs coordination across maritime, air, and ground channels to ensure on-time delivery and compliance.
• Manage end-to-end export processes, including coordinating empty equipment pick-up, submitting VGM (Verified Gross Mass), and ensuring timely port gate-in for outbound maritime shipments.
• Manage cargo release processes with shipping lines, customs brokers, and warehouses, verifying documentation accuracy and coordinating with customs authorities to eliminate delays.
• Conduct continuous track and trace monitoring across all carriers and airlines, maintaining precise data in internal systems to ensure operational visibility and enable proactive issue resolution.
• Prepare and review House Bills of Lading (HBL) and Master Bills of Lading, coordinate Switch BL requests, and manage corrections with shipping lines to ensure documentary compliance for all outbound and inbound freight.
• Transmit import filings (AMS/ISF) to U.S. Customs and manage origin export customs declarations (e.g., AES or local equivalents) within regulatory deadlines to prevent penalties or shipment holds.
• Coordinate booking confirmations with carriers and depots, resolve operational issues promptly, and send required documentation (gate passes, export declarations, BLs) to clients with complete transparency.
• Deliver timely notifications to clients on shipment departures, arrivals, delays, and itinerary changes, escalating critical issues and coordinating cross-functional resolution.
• Maintain organized operational records, meet internal KPIs for accuracy and turnaround time, and contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance service quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2-4 years of progressive experience in freight forwarding operations, logistics coordination, handling both export shipments.
• Hands-on experience with booking management, BL issuance, cargo tracking systems, and customs documentation (knowledge of AMS/ISF and export declarations required).
• Proficiency with freight management platforms (CargoWise, Magaya, or similar TMS/ERP systems) and advanced Excel for operational reporting.
• English proficiency at B2+ level (written and spoken) to communicate effectively with international carriers, clients, and customs authorities.
• Strong attention to detail with proven ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously while maintaining documentary accuracy (Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin) and regulatory compliance.
• Ownership mindset with proactive communication skills and ability to anticipate issues, elevate appropriately, and follow through to resolution.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with U.S. customs regulations, ISF filing requirements, and coordination with U.S.-based customs brokers.
• Familiarity with multiple trade lanes (Latin America, Asia, Europe, North America) and carrier-specific portal systems.
• FIATA Diploma, IATA certification, or customs brokerage training.
