Jobgether is seeking an Engineering Manager - Linux Hardware Enablement in Colombia to lead a distributed team working at the intersection of Linux software and hardware. You will collaborate with silicon partners to optimise Ubuntu across the stack, from kernel-level integration to desktop experiences.
You will coach engineers, shape technical strategy, and coordinate delivery across multiple teams and organisations in an international, fast-paced environment.
Formación
- Experience with Linux distributions, Ubuntu or Debian packaging.
- Experience with server-class hardware, PC/IoT hardware platforms.
- Experience leading software engineering teams, coaching and mentoring.
- Strong software engineering background with technical leadership.
- Experience working with customers or external partners.
- Experience with agile software development in collaborative environments.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
Responsabilidades
- Lead a distributed team delivering Ubuntu integrations for IoT, PC, and server hardware.
- Provide technical leadership across the Linux stack for hardware enablement and features.
- Build relationships with partners and align priorities to deliver projects.
- Oversee partner engagements and ensure milestones are met with quality.
- Coach and develop engineers through feedback and guidance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align architecture and roadmaps.
- Foster a high-performing engineering culture and improve practices.
- Travel internationally up to twice per year for two weeks.
