Job summary

Huge is seeking a Director of Technology to provide strategic technical leadership across complex digital engagements in Colombia. You will shape technology strategy, architecture, and delivery from concept to implementation, partnering with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

You will establish engineering standards, guide cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and security, and drive AI integration, including LLMs, Vertex AI, and Claude.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in technology, software engineering, and digital product development.
• Deep understanding of modern web architecture across frontend, backend, APIs, cloud apps, and headless CMS.
• Strong knowledge of AI and Generative AI integration into products and workflows.

The role.

Huge is looking for Director Technologyto provide technical leadership across complex digital engagements, shaping technology strategy, architecture, and delivery from concept through implementation. You’ll partner with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions while establishing strong engineering practices and standards.

What you'll be doing.

• Define technology strategies, roadmaps, architecture decisions, and technical approaches for complex digital products and platforms.
• Lead end-to-end technology delivery across frontend, backend, APIs, cloud applications, and headless CMS platforms.
• Define technology stacks, technical standards, governance, and engineering best practices across teams.
• Guide teams on cloud infrastructure, scalability, security, CI/CD, DevOps, and application performance.
• Identify opportunities to integrate AI and Generative AI into products, services, and workflows, including technologies such as LLMs, Vertex AI, and Claude/Claude Code.
• Lead, mentor, and support global, cross-functional engineering teams and complex workstreams.
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and Strategy to translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions.
• Communicate technical strategies, architectural decisions, risks, and opportunities to senior stakeholders and clients.
• Help evolve technology processes, standards, and capabilities across the organization.

What we'd like to see.

• 10+ years of experience in technology, software engineering, and digital product development, ideally within agency or consulting environments.
• Deep understanding of modern web architecture, including frontend, backend, APIs, cloud applications, and headless CMS.
• Strong understanding of AI and Generative AI, including LLMs, Vertex AI, Claude/Claude Code, and their integration into products and workflows.
• Proven experience with technical strategy, architecture, technology roadmaps, and end-to-end delivery.
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, security, scalability, CI/CD, DevOps, and engineering best practices.
• Experience defining technology governance, standards, and technical frameworks across teams.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring global, cross-functional engineering teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to senior technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong collaborative mindset and experience working across Technology, Product, Design, and Strategy.
