YipitData is seeking a Data Specialist to turn messy product data into reliable metrics for retail and brand customers. You’ll shape data with clear rules, handling inconsistencies to deliver scalable, trusted outputs.

You’ll work with SQL and Python to build robust data pipelines, collaborate across teams, and own data quality end-to-end, all in a remote-friendly, high-growth environment that supports career development.

Formación

• 1–3 years of experience in data-focused roles such as data operations, analytics or data quality.
• Strong analytical judgment and comfort making decisions in ambiguous data environments.
• Experience turning raw data into structured outputs, metrics, or analyses that others rely on.
• Ability to reason through edge cases, inconsistencies, and tradeoffs in real-world data.
• High attention to detail and understanding of how data decisions impact downstream analysis.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and accountability.
• Advanced English proficiency (B2–C1 or higher).

Responsabilidades

• Transform raw, messy product and transaction data into structured, customer-ready metrics.
• Apply judgment to resolve ambiguity in data, including incomplete or inconsistent inputs.
• Define and implement rules and logic for analytically meaningful outputs over time.
• Build and maintain mappings, benchmarks, and normalization approaches for scalable analysis.
• Execute product categorization and attribution as part of metric-building workflows.
• Identify data quality issues and balance tradeoffs when data is imperfect.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data projects on time and with high accuracy.
• Ensure consistency and reliability of outputs across customers while respecting nuances.
• Continuously improve processes to increase efficiency and scalability.
• Take ownership of deliverables and data usability.
