AgileEngine is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to design, build, and support scalable data pipelines on the Databricks platform in Medellín. The role requires hands-on coding, architecture work, and strong cloud knowledge.

You will work with Databricks, Unity Catalog, and cloud-native data tooling to deliver robust data pipelines and enterprise-scale components. Collaboration with distributed teams and adherence to DevSecOps practices are essential.

Formación

• 3 years of software development experience.
• Experience with the Databricks platform — Unity Catalog, notebooks and pipelines.
• Administration of RDS Postgres and Aurora databases; understanding of Microsoft SQL Server.
• Proficiency with cloud technologies (AWS, Serverless, Event-Driven Architecture, SOA, Microservices, Microfrontend, CI/CD, IaC).
• Experience with professional software engineering practices across the SDLC.
• Proven record of distributed delivery in Agile/Scrum and DevSecOps environments.

Responsabilidades

• Architect, design, and deliver high-quality code independently following best practices.
• Make well-reasoned design decisions and trade-offs.
• Diagnose and fix production issues.
• Communicate with the lead to raise issues and anticipate barriers.
• Build scalable enterprise applications with strong CS fundamentals.
• Develop components with frontend and backend architectures for high performance.
• Seek empirical evidence via proofs of concept, tests, and external research.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
