AgileEngine in Colombia seeks a Data Engineer to own ETL pipelines powering institutional analytics for colleges and universities. You will design, build, and maintain data workflows using SQL, Python, and Apache Airflow, moving data into a cloud data warehouse.

You will adapt shared pipelines for clients, ensure clean code, and collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions across environments.

Formación

• 3-4 years of experience in data engineering or related role.
• Strong SQL with complex joins, window functions, and star-schema modeling.
• Hands-on Apache Airflow experience (DAGs, operators, scheduling, troubleshooting).
• Working knowledge of ETL patterns and cloud data warehouse design with Redshift or alternatives.
• Git and GitLab for day-to-day version control.
• Docker / Docker Compose.
• Understanding of data management concepts.
• Ability to translate client and business requirements into SQL and DAG changes.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines across development, staging, and production environments.
• Extend data models and datasets to support analytical and reporting needs.
• Adapt and customize shared data pipelines for individual clients while keeping code clean.
• Monitor and support production data pipelines, investigate failures, and deliver fixes promptly.
• Write and maintain database DDL, data validation queries, and deployment scripts.
• Contribute to platform modernization initiatives and adoption of new data technologies.
• Collaborate with client teams, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
