AgileEngine is seeking a Data Engineer to own ETL pipelines powering analytics for colleges and universities. You will design and maintain data workflows using SQL, Python, and Apache Airflow, moving data into a cloud data warehouse and adapting pipelines for client needs.

3-4 years of data engineering experience and strong SQL, Python, Airflow, and cloud data warehouse knowledge are required. This remote-friendly role emphasizes clean code, collaboration, and ongoing modernization.

Formación

• 3–4 years of data engineering or related software engineering experience.
• Strong SQL, including complex joins, window functions, and star-schema modeling.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Hands-on Apache Airflow experience (DAGs, operators, scheduling, troubleshooting).
• Working knowledge of ETL patterns and cloud data warehouses (Redshift/Snowflake/BigQuery/Synapse).
• Git/GitLab for version control; Docker / Docker Compose.
• Understanding of data management concepts and translating client requirements into SQL/DAG changes.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines and data workflows across environments.
• Extend data models and datasets to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Adapt shared pipelines for individual clients while keeping code clean.
• Monitor production pipelines, investigate failures, and deliver fixes timely.
• Write and maintain database DDL, data validation queries, and deployment scripts.
• Contribute to platform modernization, including infra upgrades and new data tech adoption.
• Collaborate with client teams, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements.
