Job summary

AVEVA Bogotá is hiring for a Finance Leader to oversee the Colombian entity’s accounting and financial reporting. You will lead the local finance team, ensure accurate monthly closes, and manage tax compliance in coordination with auditors and tax advisors.

You will also strengthen internal controls, partner with regional and global teams, and drive process improvements while ensuring compliance with AVEVA policies and local regulations. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Strong accounting and financial reporting background with solid understanding of general ledger, balance sheet management and month-end/year-end close processes.
• Strong knowledge of Colombian accounting, statutory and tax requirements.
• Demonstrated experience dealing with Colombian tax matters and working with tax authorities and/or external tax advisors.
• Previous experience coordinating statutory audits, tax compliance and external audit requirements.
• Experience managing or supervising a Finance or Accounting team.
• Strong hands-on approach, with the ability to investigate issues and work through detail to resolve them.
• Ability to balance people management with accounting, tax, audit and control tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Colombia Finance team with clear objectives and expectations.
• Own accounting and financial reporting for the Colombian entity ensuring accuracy and integrity of records.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes within deadlines.
• Review general ledger activities and resolve complex accounting issues.
• Coordinate local statutory accounting and financial statement preparation with auditors.
• Oversee tax matters and liaise with tax advisors and authorities.
• Ensure internal controls and compliance with AVEVA policies and SOX requirements.
• Support treasury activities and collaborate with stakeholders on finance-related matters.
