Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a nearshore Chief Java Full Stack Engineer in Colombia to drive AI-powered checkout projects. You will lead backend services across payments, loyalty, and promotions, while enabling AI-assisted checkout experiences and ensuring scalability and compliance.

The role requires deep Java/Spring Boot expertise, React front-end work, and strong REST/microservices skills, with cloud experience on GCP or Azure and English proficiency at a B2 level or above.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on production experience building Front-End components with React.JS.
• Strong skills in developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted or agent-based workflows and their backend integration.
• Real-world production experience using Claude Code.
• Experience with GCP and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• English language skills at a B2 level or above.
• Nice to have: CCA-F certification.
