Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a nearshore Lead Java Full Stack Engineer to support an AI-driven/Agentic Checkout initiative. You will build and support backend services for payments, loyalty, promotions, and other commerce domains while enabling AI-driven checkout flows with robust validations.

Responsibilities include ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance across commerce systems, leveraging Java, Spring Boot, React.js, REST APIs, and cloud platforms like GCP or Azure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend development with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience building frontend components with React.js.
• Proficient in REST APIs and microservices design.
• Exposure to AI-assisted or agent-based workflows and backend integrations.
• Cloud experience with GCP and/or Azure.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
