Job summary

TMF Group in Bogotá seeks a Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations for North America. Based in Bogotá, you will ensure accurate payroll processing, compliance with local regulations, and timely reporting across a dynamic international environment.

The role requires USA payroll experience, university enrollment (6th semester) or technologist diploma, and strong Excel skills with familiarity in ADP/QuickBooks/VISMA. Advanced English (B2-C1) is essential.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a university (at least 6th semester) or technologist diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in USA payroll processing or related administrative functions (minimum 1 year).
• Familiarity with payroll software systems (e.g., ADP, QuickBooks, VISMA) and intermediate Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll administration in accordance with current legislation.
• Ensure payroll compliance with local regulations and TMF guidelines.
• Handle end‑to‑end low complexity payroll processes (reconciliation, starters/leavers, salary payments).
• Prepare monthly client and statutory reports.
• Support accurate payroll processing including data entry and hours verification.
• Maintain payroll records and employee information in the system.
• Assist in payroll reports including earnings statements and tax filings.
• Contribute to process improvements and automation in payroll operations.
• Track changes in payroll legislation relevant to tasks.
• Maintain confidentiality of payroll data.

As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting payroll operations for employees across North America while being based in Bogotá. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic international environment, ensuring payroll processes are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with company policies and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll administration in accordance with the current legislation.
• Ensuring that payroll processes are in compliance with local regulations, legal and taxation standards, procedures and comply with legislative obligations as well as TMF internal and global guidelines and internal auditing requirements (e.g. ISAE certification).
• Processing of low complexity process that are expected to be processed independently from the beginning to the end such as reconciliation of payroll on monthly basis, data entry, starters and leavers, salary payments and others related.
• Prepare regular client specific and statutory monthly reports.
• Assist in the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees, including data entry, calculations, and verification of hours worked.
• Support the maintenance of payroll records and employee information in the payroll system, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Assist in the preparation of payroll reports, including earnings statements, tax filings, and other relevant reports.
• Contribute to process improvements and efficiency enhancements in payroll operations, identifying opportunities for automation and standardization.
• Keeping track of relevant changes in legislative concerning the assigned payroll agenda.
• Maintain confidentiality of payroll information and handle sensitive data with discretion.

Key Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a university (at least 6th semester), or possess a technologist diploma or equivalent; further education in accounting, finance or a related field is advantageous.
• Prior experience in USA payroll processing or related administrative functions (Minimum 1 year).
• Familiarity with payroll software systems (e.g., ADP, QuickBooks, VISMA, or others) and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Team and service oriented.
• Advanced English Skills (B2-C1).
