Are you an organized, detail-driven professional with a passion for payroll and compliance? We're looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our growing team and support our U.S.-based clients with accurate, timely payroll processing and top-tier employee service.
As a key part of our HR & Payroll Operations, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time while navigating complex payroll regulations and processes.
What we offer:
- Signed Colombian contract directly with Cornerstone (Vacations, Health Care, and Pension provided).
- Monday to Friday. 8-hour shift. Colombian holidays will be free!
- Remote position, with the intention to work using a Hybrid model in the future.

What you'll do:
- Process and Distribute Payroll: Accurately compile, enter, and process payroll data, including timesheets, deductions, garnishments, and paychecks per client requirements.
- Ensure Accuracy and Compliance: Review payroll entries for accuracy and ensure compliance with tax laws, wage regulations, and garnishment orders.
- Generate Reports and Invoices: Create specialized payroll reports (e.g., job costing, certified payroll) and accurate client invoicing based on payroll structure.
- Maintain Employee Records: Manage employee files, onboarding documentation, and payroll-related changes such as direct deposit and separations.
- Track and Report Accruals: Monitor time-off accrual systems and provide clients with timely and accurate reports.
- Client Communication: Respond to client inquiries via phone and email, providing payroll support and professionally resolving issues.
- Teamwork and Confidentiality: Collaborate across departments, maintain confidentiality, and support general administrative duties as needed.
- Well-spoken bilingual with a B2+/C1 English level.
- 2+ Years of experience in payroll for the US Market. PEO (Professional Employer Organization) industry experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and tax compliance
- Experience with platforms like ADP, Paychex, Gusto, etc.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)
