AgileEngine is seeking a Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable systems for a Product-led engineering team. You will work with Java and/or Kotlin, Spring Boot, GraphQL, MongoDB Atlas, and Aurora MySQL on AWS, focusing on engineering excellence from tooling to architecture.

You will handle compliance, cost-savings, observability, and tooling tasks while collaborating with product managers, data scientists, and designers to deliver reliable, high-performance software.

Formación

• 3+ years of professional backend-focused software development.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin.
• Proficiency with MongoDB Atlas.
• Proficiency with Aurora MySQL on AWS.
• Experience building cloud-native distributed systems on AWS.
• Experience with the Spring Boot framework.
• Experience with GraphQL (Netflix DGS).
• Experience building large-scale, high-performance systems on a major cloud platform.

Responsabilidades

• Take on lower-priority engineering work including compliance, maintenance, cost-savings, observability, and tool development.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, performant software systems.
• Contribute to system architecture and validate solutions with data and experimentation.
• Participate in code reviews and design reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners including engineers, PMs, data scientists, and designers.
• Partner with a Product Manager and engineers to clarify requirements and focus on coding, testing, and documentation.
