AgileEngine is seeking a Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable systems for a product-led engineering team. The role emphasizes Java and/or Kotlin with Spring Boot, GraphQL, MongoDB Atlas, and Aurora MySQL on AWS, covering tooling and architecture, with emphasis on observability and cost-savings.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, data scientists, and designers, to deliver robust backend solutions and maintain

Formación

• 3+ years of backend-focused software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin.
• Proficiency in MongoDB Atlas.
• Proficiency in Aurora MySQL on AWS.
• Experience building cloud-native distributed systems on AWS.
• Experience with the Spring Boot framework.
• API development with GraphQL (Netflix DGS).
• Experience building and operating large-scale cloud systems.

Responsabilidades

• Tackle lower-priority engineering work including compliance, cost-savings, observability, and tool development.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, performant software systems.
• Contribute to system architecture and validate solutions with data.
• Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners across engineering, product, data science, and design.
• Clarify requirements with PMs and fellow engineers, focusing on coding, testing, and documentation.
