AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable systems for a product-led engineering team.

This role works with Java and/or Kotlin using Spring Boot, GraphQL, MongoDB, and Aurora MySQL on AWS, tackling operational tooling and architecture improvements. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and designers, performing mid-level design work while focusing on coding, testing, and documentation.

Formación

• 3+ years of professional, backend-focused software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin.
• Proficiency in MongoDB Atlas.
• Proficiency in Aurora MySQL on AWS.
• Experience building cloud-native distributed systems on AWS.
• Experience with the Spring Boot framework.
• API development with GraphQL (Netflix DGS).
• Experience building and operating large-scale, high-performance systems.

Responsabilidades

• Take on lower-priority engineering work to free bandwidth (compliance, cost-savings, observability, tooling).
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, performant software systems.
• Contribute to system architecture and validate solutions with data.
• Participate in code reviews and design reviews to uphold standards.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, data scientists, and designers.
• Clarify requirements with a PM and engineers; focus on coding, testing, and documentation.
