This position will be a hybrid work arrangement. You will receive 18 remote workdays per quarter to use at your discretion, subject to manager approval. For example, you may choose to work in the office 4 days per week and take one remote day weekly (typically 13 weeks per quarter), leaving 5 additional remote days to be used as needed. This opportunity is to become part of our LATAM IR team, based in our Bogota Office.

Job Description Summary

The principal function of this role is to provide analytical, reporting and execution support to the LATAM Investor Relations team. The IR Analyst will help the team prepare for fundraising and client activity by maintaining high-quality data, producing recurring and ad hoc analysis, coordinating materials and internal workflows, and supporting market and investor research. The role is built as an internally oriented support position, functioning through mentorship provided by Associates and Account Managers. It is not responsible for client relationships, account plans, onboarding or transfers, distributor relationships, regulatory analysis, RFP delivery, or end-to-end client requests, which belong to more senior members of the IR team. The role works closely with Investor Relations colleagues and internal teams. These include Marketing, Proposal Management, Client Support, Commercial Operations, and other firm-wide functions. The goal is to support fundraising and client-service activities. HarbourVest’s clients are primarily institutions including public and private pensions, insurance companies, endowments, foundations, sovereign wealth funds, and family offices.

What you will do:
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reporting and analysis from Salesforce, Preqin and other approved internal or external data sources to support fundraising activity and team planning.
  • Analyze fundraising efforts and assist in preparing internal presentations, pipeline views and regional target-tracking materials.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis and client segmentation analysis to support prospecting and prioritization by Associates and Account Managers.
  • Support research on target institutions and investor trends by gathering, coordinating and synthesizing relevant information to assist the investor relations group.
  • Assist with cash flow modelling for existing and prospective commitments, using established team models and assumptions.
  • Prepare first drafts and supporting analysis for internal briefings, LP teach-ins, learning exchanges and other client-related materials for review by Associates and Account Managers’ teams.
  • Coordinate inputs, version control and logistics for investor presentations, due diligence meetings and other fundraising materials, under the direction of Associates and Account Managers.
  • Support RFP and due diligence processes by capturing requested information and coordinating with internal team members.
  • Maintain trackers as needed. The Associate or Account Manager owns the review and final delivery.
  • Maintain trackers for investor queries, fundraising opportunities and follow-ups, bringing up open items to the appropriate Associate or Account Manager.
  • Provide analytical and preparation support for IR Huddles, internal pipeline discussions and regional updates.
  • Work with Marketing, RFP, Client Service, Commercial Operations, and additional company-wide teams to source information and complete assigned workstreams.
  • Coordinate operational inputs, materials, trackers and logistics support for investor events and AGM-related IR activity, under the direction of the Associate and Account Manager.
  • Maintain event-related trackers and coordinate assigned follow-ups with relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Research target institutions and investor opportunities and prepare supporting data and draft travel agendas for review by the Associate and Account Manager.
  • Coordinate routine travel-planning logistics and maintain trip-related trackers and follow-ups.
  • Maintain and update Salesforce data to support accurate pipeline, institution, contact and activity records, following established data standards.
  • Monitor and update key contact information and institutional data based on approved internal sources and industry information.
  • Prepare standard Salesforce reports and data extracts for the IR team, and identify data-quality issues for customer concern to the Associate and Commercial Operations.
  • Maintain organized records and trackers supporting team reporting, meeting preparation and fundraising activity.

And other responsibilities as required.

Role boundaries relative to the IR Associate
  • The Analyst supports account planning through research and analysis but does not develop or own account plans.
  • The Analyst assists in preparation for client meetings but is not the primary point of contact for prospects or clients.
  • The Analyst supports RFP and due diligence workflows but does not lead the review or final delivery of RFPs.
  • The Analyst maintains request trackers and gathers inputs but does not own end-to-end client requests.
  • The Analyst runs the day-to-day administrative workflow for onboarding and transfer workstreams, including documentation tracking, internal follow-ups, routine access coordination and status tracking; the Associate provides IR oversight and handles exceptions or escalations.
  • The Analyst is not responsible for distributor relationships, regulatory analysis, pension benchmark governance, or Salesforce-report development with Commercial Operations.
What you bring:
  • Ability to work independently on clearly defined assignments while collaborating effectively with colleagues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Dedication to high-quality work product and strong attention to detail.
  • Comfort working with financial data and learning fund performance and private-markets concepts.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines across multiple concurrent assignments.
  • A customer-focused approach and willingness to take direction, learn quickly and continuously improve.
Education Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field. Equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.

Experience

We welcome graduate applicants and candidates with up to 1–2 years of experience in alternative investments, investment management, financial services, consulting, banking, or similar finance roles. Prior exposure to investor relations, client service, research, reporting, CRM/data management or RFP processes is helpful but not required.
