YipitData in Colombia is seeking a seasoned Senior Software Engineer to help build the AI infrastructure, platforms, and applications used company-wide. You’ll sit on the Infrastructure team, delivering AI-native solutions that improve decision making and automate critical processes.

About The Role:

We’re looking for a seasoned, high-output engineer to help build the AI infrastructure, platforms, and applications used across our company. This individual will sit on our Infrastructure team, which architects and develops AI-native solutions that help teams work more effectively, make better decisions, and improve critical business processes.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of software development experience, including architecting and delivering full-stack applications and production systems. You should be comfortable working across Python, React/TypeScript, data platforms such as Databricks, and cloud infrastructure on AWS. Experience with agentic workflows, data-intensive applications, and AI infrastructure is highly valuable.

You’ll be responsible for production-grade systems that teams across the company depend on daily, including our agent platform, data tools, integrations, internal applications, and the infrastructure that supports them. That means being responsive, reliable, and an excellent communicator.

The ideal candidate treats AI coding tools as core infrastructure for how they work. You’ve shipped full-stack applications, you’re comfortable navigating ambiguity, and you are deeply focused on understanding users and improving how they work.

As a Senior Software Engineer, You Will:

• Own features and systems end-to-end across multiple product and platform surfaces—from architecture and implementation through deployment, observability, and iteration.
• Architect and deliver AI-native solutions for teams across the company, including internal applications, data tools, agentic workflows, integrations, and shared infrastructure.
• Partner directly with teams throughout the organization to understand how they work, identify high‑value opportunities, and redesign critical business processes using AI, automation, and better software.
• Help evolve our AI infrastructure and agent platform, including model and tool integrations, data access, asynchronous execution, evaluation, observability, security, and governance.
• Drive initiatives across teams. You won’t wait for a PM to write a spec—you’ll discover problems, clarify requirements, shape what gets built, and explain why it matters.
• Use AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex to improve productivity and ship trustworthy solutions faster—while maintaining rigorous standards for architecture, testing, security, and code review.
• Operate and improve the systems you ship, including production debugging, incident response, performance, reliability, and cost.
• Produce clear documentation, playbooks, and training materials that help teams adopt new capabilities and institutionalize effective engineering and AI-development practices.
