Atento seeks an AI External Consultant Engineer for Colombia to design, develop, and deploy AI Agents, translating business needs into scalable production-ready solutions. You will integrate agents with APIs, CRMs, and contact centers while collaborating with cross-functional teams and guiding PoCs for customer success.

The role requires strong Python, backend, and API experience, plus hands-on Generative AI/LLMs knowledge.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Software Engineering, Solutions Engineering, AI/ML Engineering, Technical Consulting, Solution Architecture, or Enterprise Integration.
• English level: C1-B2; capable of technical/customer-facing communication.
• Strong experience with Python, backend development, and APIs.
• Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, databases, and enterprise system integration.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Knowledge of Prompt Engineering, Function/Tool Calling, RAG, Embeddings/Vector Search, AI Agent evaluation/optimization, grounding, and hallucination mitigation.
• Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD, logging, and monitoring.
• Ability to conduct requirements gathering, technical discovery, workshops, and solution presentations.
• Strong communication and customer relationship skills.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in technical discovery sessions, PoCs, and customer workshops.
• Design solutions with scalability, security, performance, reliability, and cost in mind.
• Evaluate and improve AI Agent performance (quality, latency, resource usage).
• Support projects from requirements through implementation and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, ML, Solutions, and Customer Success teams.
• Serve as technical point of contact for customers during implementation.

Are you passionate about Generative AI, technology solutions, and working directly with customers to turn business challenges into real solutions?

We are looking for a AI EXTERNAL CONSULTANT ENGINEER, a technical professional with experience in Software Engineering, GenAI/LLMs, system integration, and solution architecture. This person will be responsible for taking solutions from requirements gathering and proof of concept to implementation and production.

What will you do?

• Design, develop, configure, test, deploy, and optimize AI Agents.
• Translate business needs and processes into workflows, tools, prompts, business rules, and integrations.
• Design and implement AI solutions ready for production environments.
• Integrate AI Agents with APIs, databases, CRMs, Contact Center platforms, and other enterprise applications.
• Participate in technical discovery sessions, workshops, demonstrations, and Proofs of Concept (PoCs) with customers.
• Design solutions considering scalability, security, performance, reliability, and cost.
• Evaluate and improve AI Agent performance, including quality, accuracy, latency, reliability, and resource usage.
• Support projects from requirements definition through implementation and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, Machine Learning, Solutions, and Customer Success teams.
• Act as a technical point of contact for customers throughout the implementation process.

What are we looking for?

Required qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

At least 5 years of experience in Software Engineering, Solutions Engineering, AI/ML Engineering, Technical Consulting, Solution Architecture, or Enterprise Integration.

English level: C1-B2, with the ability to communicate effectively in technical and customer-facing environments.

Strong experience with Python, backend development, and APIs.

Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, databases, and enterprise system integration.

Hands-on experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).

Knowledge of:

• Prompt Engineering
• Function/Tool Calling
• RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
• Embeddings and Vector Search
• AI Agent evaluation and optimization
• Grounding and hallucination mitigation techniques

Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Ability to conduct requirements gathering, technical discovery, workshops, and solution presentations.

It will be a plus if you have:

• Experience with Golang.
• Experience with Contact Center / CCaaS platforms.
• Experience with Conversational AI, Voicebots, or Chatbots.
• Experience with CRM integrations.
• Knowledge of Customer Experience (CX) technologies.
• Experience implementing Enterprise SaaS solutions.
• Experience with AI Agent orchestration frameworks.
• Knowledge of LLM observability and evaluation tools.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
