Job summary

Addi in Colombia is seeking a data platform engineer to own the marketing data stack, connect pipelines to Braze, AppsFlyer, GTM, and the App, and enable AI-driven automation. You will document, test, and expand data workflows for marketing, growth, and marketplace teams.

You will build and operate ELT pipelines, write tests and runbooks, and drive governance to ensure trusted data across campaigns. Remote-friendly, equity-backed fintech growth story.

Qualifications

• Proven experience writing and debugging complex SQL without AI.
• Writes and reads joins at scale, window functions, CTEs and incremental logic.
• Builds clean, reusable tables and datamarts that are easy to extend, test and document.
• Track record of building and operating ELT pipelines on a modern data platform.
• Hands-on with dbt, Airflow or similar, plus Git and code reviews.
• Has used SQL warehouses, notebooks and scheduled jobs, and understands catalog, schema, table and permissions.
• Uses tests, monitoring and alerts by default; comfortable with on-call and fixing issues at the root.
• Experienced in using coding agents daily for real data work.
• Demonstrated background in validating AI output.
• Writes a spec before building (inputs, outputs, transformations, checks).
• Proven ability to translate business needs and own outcomes in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Ramp up in 90 days: Map the marketing data platform end to end and write docs for humans and AI agents.
• Reliable platform by month 3: Add tests/alerts to ensure 99% on-time data and reduce incidents by 50%.
• Agentic automation by month 6: Ship at least 2 AI agents/workflows with 3 active users and runbooks.
• Efficient platform by month 9: Cut costs by 30% by removing duplicates.
• Governance and documentation: Maintain a single data catalog with ownership and approval rules.
