IDB Invest is seeking a Portfolio Management Consultant for the Infra & Energy sector in Santiago. You will monitor a portfolio of loans and guarantees from signature to repayment, engaging with clients and internal teams to ensure risk controls and effective financial management.

The role requires at least two years in credit assessment, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and fluency in Spanish and English; French/Portuguese are a plus.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Development Studies, or related field.
• At least two years of experience in credit assessment or rating of financial intermediaries or corporate counterparts.
• Proficiency in Spanish and English; knowledge of French/Portuguese is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee a diverse portfolio of loans, bonds, guarantees, and transactions.
• Collect, validate, and analyze project data to monitor counterparty performance and risk.
• Perform financial statement analysis and project projections to inform risk ratings.
• Track sector and country developments and inform on actions needed.
• Engage with borrowers and sponsors; attend client monitoring meetings as needed.
• Prepare presentations and performance metrics for internal and external audiences.
